Roiback, specialist and leader in the management of the hotel direct sales channel, has won for the fourth consecutive year the award for "Best Hotel Booking Solution Provider in Europe".Best Hotel Booking Solutions Provider in Europe." at the World Travel Awards 2019, the most important awards in the international travel industry. Thus, BackHotel 5.0, the booking engine of the Palma de Mallorca-based technology company, consolidates its position as the best solution for the European travel industry.

The awards ceremony was held on June 8 in Funchal, the capital of the Portuguese island of Madeira. The World Travel Awards are one of the sector's major distinctions at international level and award prizes in more than a hundred categories, including destinations, hotels, airlines and travel agencies, among others. The winner of each of the categories is chosen based on the votes of more than 200,000 travel professionals from different countries around the world, in addition to the votes of the public through the website.

Pioneering technology and commitment to innovation

In line with its commitment to continuous innovation, Roiback has launched during the first half of 2019 the new version of its booking engine, BackHotel 5.0. In addition, it has recently announced its integration with Book on Google (BoG), the technology giant's feature that allows hotel bookings without leaving the search engine. Thanks to this agreement, Roiback's clients will benefit from a higher conversion rate and a lower cost of acquisition, as well as being able to access markets that have been less accessible until now.

Among some of the latest enhancements launched by Roiback this year is the room or meal plan upgrade system, which allows the customer to upgrade their reservation before entering the hotel with a single click, helping to increase revenue per booking for the hotelier.

International expansion

Roiback was created in 2010 in Palma de Mallorca and during this time has grown like no other player in the sector. In the last three years, it has increased its number of employees fivefold and now has a portfolio of more than 1,500 clients in 50 countries around the world. The company's headquarters are in Palma, but it also has offices in Barcelona, Seville, Milan, Lisbon, Miami, Bali, Bangkok, Singapore, Cancun, Medellin, Bogota.
