Roiback, specialist and leader in the management of the direct channel of hotel sales, has won for the fourth year running theEurope’s Leading Hotel Booking Solutions Provider award at the World Travel Awards 2019, the most important prize in the international tourism sector. Therefore, BackHotel 5.0, the booking engine of the tech company based in Palma de Mallorca, is consolidated as the best solution within the European tourism industry.

The award ceremony was held last June 8th in Funchal, the capital of the Portuguese island of Madeira. The World Travel Awards are the most prestigious international distinctions in the travel industry and reward more than a hundred categories, between destinations, hotels, airlines or travel agencies, among others. The winner of each of the categories is chosen based on the votes of more than 200,000 industry professional worldwide, as well as the public voting through its official website.

Pioneering technology and commitment to innovation

In line with its commitment to continuous innovation, Roiback has launched during the first semester of 2019 the new version of its booking engine, BackHotel 5.0. In addition, it has recently announced its integration with Book on Google (BoG), the function of the technological giant that allows to make hotel reservations without leaving the search engine. Thanks to this agreement, Roiback customers will benefit from higher conversion rates and lower acquisition costs, as well as being able to enter less accessible markets until now.

Among the latest features that Roiback has launched this year is the room upgrade system or meal plan, which allows the users to improve their reservations before entering the hotel with a single click, and this contributes to increase the income per reservation for the hotelier.

International expansion

Roiback was founded in 2010 in Palma de Mallorca and during this time has grown like no other player in the industry. In the last three years, it has multiplied by five its number of employees and already has a portfolio of more than 1,500 customers spread over 50 countries worldwide. The company’s headquarters are in Palma de Mallorca, but also has offices in Barcelona, Sevilla, Milan, Lisboa, Miami, Bali, Bangkok, Singapore, Cancun, Medellin and Bogota.
